Dr. David Ratliff is an Orthopedic Surgeon with subspecialty fellowship training in Hand & Upper Extremity Surgery.
Dr. Ratliff recently joined Advanced Orthopedics and Hand Surgery Institute where his practice focuses on the management of musculoskeletal and neurovascular conditions of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand in adults, children, and infants. Dr. Ratliff prides himself on providing compassionate quality care to patients of all ages, from infants to elders.
Dr. Ratliff was born and raised in Rutland, Massachusetts. He completed his undergraduate education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering. Dr. Ratliff received his Medical Doctorate in New York City at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine where he continued on to complete his Orthopedic Surgery residency. He completed fellowship training under leaders in the field of hand and upper extremity surgery at the University of Pittsburgh. After practicing for the past 4 years in Buffalo, NY, he chose to relocate to New Jersey.
Dr. Ratliff uses advanced techniques to care for various conditions including fractures and trauma, soft tissues and nerve problems. He routinely performs microsurgery, reconstructive surgery, fracture treatment, arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgery of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand.
Dr. Ratliff is a candidate member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH), and the American Association for Hand Surgery (AAHS). By attending several professional conferences and lectures each year, Dr. Ratliff keeps himself well-versed in the latest research and advances in orthopedic science and technology.
An active runner, snowboarder, and biking enthusiast, Dr. Ratliff understands the needs of sports minded individuals and their desires to resume activities after injury. He shares the Advanced Orthopedics mission of providing quality care that is sensitive, compassionate, prompt, and cost-effective.
