What is Tennis Elbow?
Lateral epicondylitis or tennis elbow is a condition of the elbow that often causes pain on the outside of the elbow with lifting, gripping, and activities that involve wrist extension. It is sometimes associated with tennis players, but can be caused by a variety of different activities. Pain usually originates at the elbow, but may radiate down the forearm and into the wrist. Treatment will start conservatively with bracing, anti-inflammatories and therapy. If the symptoms persist despite conservative management surgical options may be discussed.
